| "Small Groups" are small groups of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ that come together weekly for fellowship, food, worship, prayer, Bible study, and outreach. Come be a part of a community seeking to live out the Christian life together. We have one small group that meets weekly on either Wednesday at 7:00pm. For more information call the church at (706) 736-5126 or use the email link on the main page.
In the Acts 2:46, we learn that the early church consisted of people meeting both at the temple and at homes of other believers. Meeting in small groups is not only a Biblical form of worship, it is also a great way to grow closer to the fellow believers in the church - helping them in their struggles and anxieties, sharing in their sorrows, joys, and triumphs - all the while, they do the same for you. This sharing, with the study of the Word, is a major part of what fellowship is all about. In his book The Purpose Driven Life, Rick Warren teaches: "When it comes to fellowship, size matters. Smaller is better. You can worship with a crowd, but you can't fellowship with one. Once a group becomes larger than about 10 people, someone stops participating - usually the quietest person - and a few people will dominate the group. Jesus ministered in the context of a small group of disciples. He could have chosen more, but he knew 12 was about the maximum size you can have in a small group if everyone is to participate."
