"Small Groups" are small groups of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ that come together weekly for fellowship, food, worship, prayer, Bible study, and outreach. Come be a part of a community seeking to live out the Christian life together. We have one small group that meets weekly on either Wednesday at 7:00pm. For more information call the church at (706) 736-5126 or use the email link on the main page.

In the Acts 2:46, we learn that the early church consisted of people meeting both at the temple and at homes of other believers. Meeting in small groups is not only a Biblical form of worship, it is also a great way to grow closer to the fellow believers in the church - helping them in their struggles and anxieties, sharing in their sorrows, joys, and triumphs - all the while, they do the same for you. This sharing, with the study of the Word, is a major part of what fellowship is all about.

In his book The Purpose Driven Life, Rick Warren teaches:

"When it comes to fellowship, size matters. Smaller is better. You can worship with a crowd, but you can't fellowship with one. Once a group becomes larger than about 10 people, someone stops participating - usually the quietest person - and a few people will dominate the group. Jesus ministered in the context of a small group of disciples. He could have chosen more, but he knew 12 was about the maximum size you can have in a small group if everyone is to participate."

What do we do in Small Groups?
Fellowship, Bible study, prayer and worship, sharing concerns on our hearts, sharing food, and outreach. We also like to take on projects once in a while. For example, our Friday night Small Group is responsible for building this web site and trying keeping it up to date.

This summer, our Friday group Finished studying The Purpose Driven Life. We encourage you to add this book to you personal or group stufy time.
